Been too long since my last post..

Who knows where all the days have gone!! Seems the older one gets the faster time goes.. And pretty soon you feel like you are always eating breakfast..

Where to begin . I do have a new Great Grand Son. He was bron October 6,2012.
Weighed in at 7lbs 3ozs. Only 20 inches long.. He was  named Jaxon Hayes McQuillen. This is his pappa Scott holding him just a few minutes after his arrival.
All is well with him so far.

I have not been sewing much but do have a fast and easy quilt cut and ready to sew for the wee one. It is a strip quilt. A friend of mine worked this up many years ago and shared with me. (1996 or so) Now it is all over the net. and so it goes. There is nothing new under the sun.

Also, I have many tops to get quilted for the Veterans Restoration Center in Asheville. This is the 225 bed facility I have talked about before. I am so ready to get my machine turned on and get down to buisiness.  If I had about 3 weeks for just this I could get them all quilted. and the binding sewn on for the hand sewing. We shall see.

My dear husband has been called for Jury Duty today! It is not something he really wants to do today but it is everyones civic duty.  I have been called 3 times in NC but have not sat thru a trial. Hope this will be the same for him.

I know my blog is not full of stuff  and that is the way I like it.!!!. I find so many way too busy with all the side bar stuff that I won't visit them any more. I say KISS- keep it simple sister..!!  I have a friend who has a very neat hanging in her kitchen and all it says," SIMPLIFY". To me that sums it all up for me and my life..

Hope you have a great day !!
Till next time..

Roma he is a cutie and I am sure pappa Scot is happy too. Hope Erin does well. Hard to recoup after births. Patty
